The Importance of Historical Knowledge of Smaller Foreign Activity
I have realized that the knowledge of the little conflicts between countries and societies helps a lot when trying to understand all of the current affairs. Though i was hesitant about doing this i really liked learning about all of the minor and grand conflicts because i have really enjoyed understanding in better details what is going on in all of the places, but more so why. it was the same in learning about Islam and the middle east.
The Value of War
I finally understand more so of what it is that makes war unique. I understood before the value of war, but until now not the complete appreciation of those who serve. The most important to this concept learning was probably the actual interview and words from someone who was there. The interview was probably the most annoying part of all of this because of everything that it took to put it all together but the most beneficial part and great to hear in person about the war.
How the Peace Movement Was Connected to the War
I really had no clue that there was nay direct correlation to the population of stupid people who think that a utopian society is possible, and the war. I had not ever put the idea of a peace rally together with the fact that at the same time America was at war in Vietnam. This was probably due to the fact that we no longer see this type of peace movements in the modern war. Now we primarily see a lack of support.
What Vietnam is Land Wise
I know that the history of the land is very important to anything, but I did not think that Vietnam had gone through such a struggle to even get to where it is today. I really enjoyed finding out about how Vietnam is even part of China. i never before had really known exactly what it was that made it part of the Asia. I also did not know that it had even one bit of a connection to Western Europe.
When
I knew when these things happened, but what I did not know was when the preliminary conflict that led up to many of these events had started. I had never known that Vietnam was still very closely tied to the problems that it suffered during the formation of the country. The most amazing thing about this in my opinion was how they are so advanced in the way that they live by modern standards, but as a government, they are still way behind. If they are not behind, it does seem like the communal society concept is holding them back form any great advance to a world power.
